1. Who We Are

This Privacy Policy explains what data Writelix collects and how it is used. By using Writelix, you agree to this policy.

2. What We Collect

We collect only what we need to run the service:

• Account information: name, email, and a hashed password.
• Payment information: handled entirely by Razorpay. We never see or store card numbers, CVVs, or bank details. We only store your subscription ID and status.
• Content you submit: the text, URLs, files, and prompts you send for AI processing.
• Usage data: features used, credits consumed, login times, and basic technical details such as browser type and IP address.

3. How We Use Your Data

• To run your account and deliver the AI features you request.
• To send your submitted content to OpenAI's API so the AI can generate outputs.
• To process subscription payments through Razorpay.
• To prevent abuse, fraud, and unauthorized access.
• To meet tax and legal obligations under Indian law.

We do not sell your data. We do not run ad networks or share your data with marketers.

Writelix relies on these providers, and only shares the minimum data needed to operate:

• Supabase — database and authentication.
• OpenAI — AI content generation.
• Razorpay — payment processing.
• Vercel — application hosting.

These providers handle your data under their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for their practices, but we choose providers we believe are reputable.

6. Data Storage and Security

Data is stored on cloud servers (primarily in the United States via Supabase). Connections use TLS encryption. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. We take reasonable steps to protect your data, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. You use Writelix at your own risk.

7. Data Retention

• Account data is kept while your account is active.
• If you delete your account, personal data is removed within 30 days.
• Payment records are retained for the period required by Indian tax law.
• We may keep anonymized usage statistics indefinitely.
• We may retain data longer where required by law or court order.

8. Your Choices

You can update your name, change your password, export your data, or delete your account from your account settings. For any other request, email contact@writelix.com. We respond to reasonable requests within a reasonable time.

9. Cookies

Writelix uses only essential cookies needed to keep you logged in. We do not use marketing cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party ad cookies.

10. Children

Writelix is for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has signed up, email contact@writelix.com and we will remove the account.

11. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page. Continued use of Writelix after changes means you accept the updated policy.

12. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of India. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Uttar Pradesh, India.
